This page is simply here for people who might be interested in the development of the site. Duncan had made the first site using Microsoft Frontpage in 2009 and had done a very good job of aggregating the information he needed to present and of building his very first site!

However he wanted more, so we have built this second site [v.2 if you like] as a point from which we can build further upon that information and experience.

With Version 2 of the site we have added the ability for people to join a Manchester Survivor Forum. The software we are using is freeware - PHPBB3 - it is well used, trusted and very secure.

Much of the information remains the same - but we have added some sections for professionals, partners, and areas for people show artwork and writing.

We are very interested in what you think we should add going to version 3 of the site. What do you find useful, confusing, difficult, interesting? Are there things you would like to see added?

Going forward I am likely to begin using the open source content management system Drupal. It is well suited to sites like the Survivors Manchester site allowing rapid building. I have built this site by hand with a text editor as I did not quite understand the scope of the project until I was already half way through - Doh!
