Our excitement levels are through the (new) roof!
As I am sure you can tell by our social media content over the last few weeks, we’re all getting a bit giddy at Survivors Manchester HQ.
Not only did we take home five awards at the North West Charity of the Year Awards on 12th October, but we’re really excited about moving into our new purpose-built home very soon!
We’ll be moving from our Hilton House home on Chapel Street to Deva City Office Park on Trinity Way (it’s over the road ish) from Thursday 25th October and officially opening our new doors on Thursday 1st November at 9am.
We’ve been shouting about the increased demand for our services over the past few months, with soaps such as Coronation Street and Hollyoaks tackling the issue of male rape and sexual abuse head on and getting more people talking about the issues. But, as a result of this increase in demand our old offices were no longer big enough for us so we’ve made the big decision to move to bigger and better premises.
Our new office at Deva City Office park will have five custom-built counselling rooms – an increase of two from our current provision – meaning we will be able to see more people than ever before which is fantastic news! We also have a stunning new open-plan welcoming reception area with built-in kitchen area.
Upstairs we have an open-plan office for the therapists, ISVAs, operations team and SMT, which means for the first time we can all be together and really develop our collaborative working environment while also take advantage of the extra storage space.
We are so excited to host the regular ‘Drop-In sessions’ and ‘Safe Room’ meetings within the office and will be looking to extend our service offering even more once we have fully settled in.
As soon as we are all in and fully operating, we will set about organising an ‘open day’ so we can invite everyone in to see the new offices, so keep your eyes peeled on our social channels for further details of that.
Our new address is Unit 9, Brewery Yard, Deva City Office Park, Trinity Way, Salford, M3 7BB so after the 1st November, pop along and come and take a look at our amazing new offices. We can’t wait to welcome you.
