#UKSNM Duncan's Blog
Today is a special day for us.
Those fab people at UK Says No More are dedicating a whole week to highlighting support to male survivors of sexual and domestic abuse and today is our dedication day… A whole day to us and we couldnt be happier.
The week has seen promotion of and social media discussion around the subject of male survivors, from our very good friends at Survivors UK, Mankind and Safeline (the founder partners of the Male Survivors Partnership UK – more of that to come in the not too distant future) and from our pals at Mankind Inititive – a fantatsic organistion at the forefront of work and support for male surviors of Domestic Violence and Abuse.
To celebrate and highlight the issue of male victimisation, our fabulous team at Survivors Manchester have made their pledges to UK Says No More, and took to blogging!
Trevor has written a wonderful and personal piece on feelings around reporting to the police or not.
Tom has focused his attention on the often taboo and not talked about subject of male survivors and female perpetrators.
Jonathan has shone a light on the dificult subject of the body’s reaction to abuse, which is a subject all to often ignored.
Ian has written about a subject that is so misunderstood – body memories.
We’re really proud to make our pledge and say SURVIVORS MANCHESTER SAYS NO MORE.
