New Counselling Room Opens

In what is a great start to November 2012, here at Survivors Manchester we were delighted to be able to design and provide the furniture and style to the new counselling room at Victim Support Manchester.
Over the weekend, our Service Director, hot footed it to various shops to purchase all the bits and bobs to bring together in this new space. Once assembled (I never want to see another Allen Key as long as live – Duncan) and dressed, it was set for our fantastic colleagues at Victim Support to come in on Monday morning to what we hoped would be a lovely surprise.
By all it was a great surprise with everyone saying how calming and relaxing it looks and feels. Northwest Victim Care Unit Manager, Carol Smith, officially opened the room by cutting the ‘ribbon’, stating that she “absolutely loved it love it love it”.
One day, we will be able to open a few rooms, with a few counsellors and maybe even open our own offices. We can only but try.
However, we hope that many people can begin their healing in this room.
