Victims Code Seminar
Monday 20th January 2:00 -3:30pm
Being a victim of crime can be distressing.
The impact of crime will vary, but many people benefit from receiving some support and information to help them cope and recover. The Victims’ Code is a statutory Government document which explains what support and information victims of crime – both people and businesses – can expect. Some victims in special circumstances, for example children or victims of the most serious crimes including hate crimes, are entitled to extra support.
In this 1 hour Seminar the Crown Prosecution Service and the Police will explain what Victims can expect from them in relation to the investigation, prosecution and support for victims and witnesses.
The event will take place at the Lesbian & Gay Foundation (5 Richmond Street, Manchester) at 2.00pm – 3.00pm.
