In this, our 10th Anniversary year, we are delighted to be in the position of expanding our ISVA (Independent Sexual Violence Advisor) service, the first male specific ISVA service in the UK, in order that we can meet the demand in male victims/survivors stepping forward.

It is an exciting expansion for us, at a time when the issue of sexual abuse and rape is extremely visible in the media, in drama and talked about more than ever.

Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £23,398 – £24,964 (NJC S6 SP 26-28)
Benefits: 22 days annual leave (plus 8 days bank holidays and 1 day birthday; clinical supervision; sick pay;  professional development)
Contract: 3 year fixed term to 2022 (extended funding permitting)

Key aspects to the job:
• To provide a needs assessment to all male victims/survivors, regardless of their status and engagement in the criminal justice process
• To provide practical and advocacy interventions for male victims/survivors to feel in control through the investigation and criminal justice process
• To work closely with Police, CPS and Health and Social Care professionals to develop effective care plans
• To promote the ISVA service to male victims/survivors and other services within Greater Manchester
• To support the organisation to develop the ISVA service to ensure all males in Greater Manchester have access to ISVA support
• To provide access to ISVA support for those already engaged in therapeutic services who want to report and engage in the investigation and criminal justice process
