World Book Night Event 2015

09.04.15 | News

Thursday 23 April

6.30pm – 9pm

Waterstones, Deansgate, Manchester, M3 2BW

Survivors Manchester would like to invite you to an evening of creative writing and poetry, giving you the chance to showcase your talent, flair and to learn new skills (or just come along and have a listen!).

Readers and writers from across Greater Manchester, including Playwright Cathy Crabb and Performance Poet Tony Curry, will come together to share their love of the written and spoken word with guests and visitors.
Our World Book Night event will demonstrate the positive impact reading and writing can have on an individual. It will also educate attendees on the importance of creative expression in aiding the recovery process for someone who has suffered sexual abuse.
World Book Night is hosted by The Reading Agency, a national charity that celebrates the difference that reading can make to our lives. The Reading Agency inspires people to become bookworms by building their confidence in reading and writing.
